Position Title:Training Officer

Report to : Head of First Aid and Safety Services Division

Duty Station : Nay Pyi Taw (HQ) with frequent travel to program area

Appointment: Initial three months probation contract with extension subject to performance appraisal and budget availability

Background:

Training Officer is to assist and implement first aid safety and services activities within the Framework of the MRCS policies and procedures and in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To conduct first Aid and safety services trainings for existing training programmes of First Aid and Safety Services Division.
• To liaise and coordinate with Head of Division (HOD), Deputy Head of Division (DyHoD), Program Coordinator (PC), Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) and other Training Officers on the implementation of programmes and projects.
• To assist Programme Coordinator for training plan and developing IEC materials.
• To prepare financial cases and reports of training programmes and other activities of First Aid and Safety Services Division.
• To demonstrate ability to lead first aid and safety services trainings and inspiring team work to achieve target.
• To undertake other related tasks and responsibilities, as needed by HoD, DyHoD and PC to ensure the smooth operation of the training activities.
• Frequently visit to the areas where the training courses are conducted and activities are implemented to monitor the local training instructors and RC volunteers for improving their skills and training quality.
• To follow up the activities or the trainees after the training courses and support their activities technically.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Myanmar National
• Must have High School level and must finish First Aid Instructor Training
• At Least 2 years experience in training or other related field
• Good Experience in training for first aid
• Good practice in first aid trainings
• Good strong skills in coaching, training, financing and administration
• Good Initiative, creative, flexibility, adaptability, cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills.

Good Experience in facilitation, participatory teaching methods practical skills but also development of IECs materials. Good experience in organize training and report writing skill General Knowledge of Red Cross Movement & first aid practice. Good organizational and interpersonal skills, including communication skills. Good Experience in not only facilitation and practical skills but also development of IECs materials English Language Skill is preferable. Effective Computer Skill Red Cross Volunteers are preferable
