Background
Background Information
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo contributes to the development agenda in democratic governance, inclusive growth and environmental sustainability. The office also has the policy and research department in charge of flagship publications. Taking into consideration a wide range of projects/activities, events, publications launches, preparations of policy/advocacy materials, the office requires services of a highly qualified cameraman/video editor that will provide a pool of high quality videos, as well as editing of such video materials, to be used for communications/visibility materials.
Objectives of Assignment
The cameraman-video editor will provide UNDP Kosovo Programmes and/or Projects with video shooting and editing services upon request.
Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of work
The cameraman-video editor will work under direct supervision of UNDP managing staff (hired by) and will:
  • Provide video shooting services from conferences/events/launches organized by UNDP office in Kosovo
  • Take field visits to project sites where UNDP is present to capture the situation and beneficiaries. Document developmental changes/improvements taking place in the field. Transportation to these sites is obligation of UNDP (hiring unit for the specific shoot out).
  • As per request provide video shooting at the programme/project level of UNDP Kosovo office.
  • Assembling all raw footage and storing them into computer
  • Editing the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable
  • Creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages;
  • Reordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
  • Show appropriate sensitivity to the people being filmed.
  • Use own high-quality digital camera and lenses.
  • Transfer videos to CD/DVD.
  • Ensure that all video-graphic rights are copyright protected by UNDP

Required Skills and Experience
Requirements qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in videography, preferably in development context
  • Experience in video selection for publications and publicity purposes
  • Good knowledge of technical requirements for shooting videos in various settings (outdoor, indoor, portraits, group videos)
  • Experience and knowledge of Adobe Premiere/Final Cut, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
Scope of price proposal and schedule of payments
Financial Arrangements
The payment will be made in two forms based on UNDP needs and forms of engagements:
  • Hourly Fee; for engagements from 1 to 4 hours
  • Daily Fee; for engagements for all day
(*The price per hour for shooting should include the editing and post production of the video material for 5 minute and 20 minute video, and delivery of the final video material in CD/DVD. Financial offers should be submitted in Euro)
Recommended Presentation of Offer
  • Letter of Confirmation of Interest and Availability
  • Personal CV or P11, indicating all past experience from similar projects, as well as the contact details (email and telephone number) of the Candidate and at least three (3) professional references;
  • Brief description of why the individual considers him/herself as the most suitable for the assignment,
  • Financial Proposal that indicates the all-inclusive fixed total contract price, supported by a breakdown of costs. If an Offeror is employed by an organization/company/institution, and he/she expects his/her employer to charge a management fee in the process of releasing him/her to UNDP under Reimbursable Loan Agreement (RLA), the Offeror must indicate at this point, and ensure that all such costs are duly incorporated in the financial proposal submitted to UNDP.
Criteria for Selection of the Best Offer
  • Combined Scoring method – where the qualifications and methodology will be weighted a max. of 70%, and combined with the price offer which will be weighted a max of 30%;
