Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - NOC (Post reference #85933) Purpose of the post: To ensure that the UNICEF Country Office has useful, valid and reliable information on
  • The situation of children's and women's rights;
  • The performance of UNICEF-supported programmes including their relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability, and in emergency contexts, their coverage, coordination and coherence.
To assist in the development of national capacities for planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and research which are evidence-based and results-oriented. To support UN Delivering as One on advancing Country Programme results on the attainment of the MDGs in country. To assist in the establishment of planning, monitoring and evaluation tools/framework for the outcomes which will enhance partnership between the UN Country Team, government and other key players to collectively track progress on MDGs and other international commitments for children. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, statistics, planning, development economics
  • 5 years professional work experience in planning, programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation activities.
Additional Skills:
  • Computer skills, including advanced internet navigation and various office applications;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
