Job: Engineer/Architect

Location: Zahle, Lebanon

Responsibility - Participate in selection, evaluation and selection of the Engineering Company/Contractor and coordination of all activities related to the implementation of Project of Completion of Junet building and waiting/registration area in Zahle; - Preparation of space allocation and renovation drawings/BOQ for the adaptation of the Khater and Lea building in Beirut to accommodate staffing needs for BO Beirut; - Provide essential support and advice to the HOFO in ensuring most appropriate and sound engineering solutions are implemented throughout the execution of the project; - Prepare the proposals for revision and discussion with respective units (Registration, Supply, FO's, Administration, Security and other depending on needs); - Prepare the drawings and design plans (including BoQ, specification, etc) for further implementation and providing the necessary information in establishing the tendering documents, as well as provide the competent opinion on the received proposals; - Oversee/supervise the implementation of UNHCR projects (registration sites, relocation of office premises, alterations to office and other UNHCR premises, etc) - Confirm upon the finalization of the completion of works by contracting party on the conformity to the required engineering standards; - Travel to UNHCR locations in Lebanon to support the establishment and or relocation of offices and registration sites and any other related requests
