Background Information - Job-specific
The floods of 2010 in Swat were devastating and several public infrastructures on Swat River. Saudi Funds for Development have signed a contribution agreement with UNOPS under which, UNOPS is to manage the Construction and Repair of Suspension Bridges Project in Kalam and Madyan (Dist: SWAT)
The principle objective of this project is to assist the people of Kalam and Madyan by Construction and Repair of Suspension Bridges washed away in the floods.
Functional Responsibilities
Prepare the Autocad Drawings for construction of suspension bridges and irrigation canals under supervision of senior engineer/project manager. Construction Drawings:
  • Preparing profile of sites topography;
  • Preparing Architectural and Structural Drawings for construction;
  • Estimate the quantities from drawings;
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors
Final Product
  • Ensure the drawings are complete as required
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education Engineering or construction related diploma with AutoCAD certification
Work Experience At least 4-5 years of relevant experience.
Competencies
  • Use of computer with word/excel software isrequired;
  • Good understanding of written and oral English is essential
  • Work effectively in a team and under pressure in a given time frame.
  • Modelling in 3D will be an added advantage
