Communication Officer - NOB (Post reference #85940)
Purpose of the post:
Develops and monitors advocacy & communications strategy to amplify children's and women's issues in the public domain, develops and maintains media partnerships, provides quality programme communication support to other sector programmes and undertakes donor relationship management, resource mobilization including developing communication materials for fund-raising.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree in the Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the communication & social sectors, of which at least two years should demonstrate experience in social sector in the field of advocacy and development communication for children and women.
Competencies: Communication, Working with People, Drive for Results, Formulating Strategies and Concepts, Analyzing, Applying Technical Expertise, Relating and Networking, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Persuading and Influencing.
Additional Skills:
  • Computer skills, including advanced internet navigation and various office applications;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
