Key to our continued success in this hypercompetitive space is taking enormous volumes of data and turning them into useful, actionable information to drive increased user engagement through great Bing features and improvements. We’re looking for an experienced SDET who can take on new features and challenges.
The Core Experiences Team is building an immersive customer experience for our 100 million users. Within Core Experiences, the Bing Engagement team is responsible for growing query share by exposing all the goodness that is Bing. We build the Bing homepage with beautiful images and video, we provide learning pages to help novice users discover new features in Bing, we reward users for using Bing and learning how they can take advantage of the richness that Bing offers and we highlight features that surprise and delight when the context is right. With a rich Front End, middle tier services, backend data BI and marketing and fraud prevention, Bing Rewards is a complete stack to build, measure and drive loyalty and enthusiasm with real customers. We also build features to manage Bing user profile and are always experimenting with features which will be differentiators for Bing like Bing Boards.
Job Responsibilities include
This position will require driving test and tools development. As the primary feature owner, you will be responsible for shaping the test strategy for your areas as well as working closely with other Search partners to drive quality. As a senior contributor, you must be able to independently identify and tackle technical and engineering issues, ramp up quickly on a new technology and areas, and work collaborate across groups and disciplines. We are passionate about innovating test methodologies and establishing efficient processes. This role will have opportunities for close collaboration with peers both within and outside the immediate test groups. This position will require driving test development, writing high quality code that will enable automated testing of new search features.
As part of Core Search team, our team measures availability & reliability across the entire Bing services stack. We set, manage and hold teams across the organization accountable to internal targets & SLAs. Our main goal is to improve end-users experience through deep understanding of the service. By employing various approaches including real-time traffic shaping, application of advanced techniques to offline aggregation and deep analysis of data collected across Bing, we turn petabytes of data into insights and act on those insights.
