Project Description:
The upcoming United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Jordan Workforce Development Program aims to create a demand-driven workforce development system that leads to increased employment, especially for women, youth and those living at or below the poverty line.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains grants management policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with company regulations;
- Works with the Chief of Party (COP) to ensure that possible cash grants by the program are compliant with Field Grant Guidelines, monitoring protocols before grants are cleared and managing grants disbursement;
- Inputs information/data into the database ensuring accuracy, consistency and completeness and ensures that the Activity Database is utilized effectively with regards to analysis and reporting;
- Establishes and maintains an audit ready grants filing system for all grants – both electronic and hardcopy;
- Builds the capacity of potential grantee organizations;
- Writes necessary grants reports;
- Travels to field offices, when necessary; and
- Conducts other duties as assigned by the COP.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Seven (7) years of experience in USAID grants design, administration, management and oversight.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration or a relevant field;
- Demonstrable experience managing grants under contracts or sub-grants for USAID or other international donor-funded projects;
- Experience with the administrative, financial, and programmatic aspects of issuing grants;
- Ability to work with diverse teams;
- Knowledge of USAID regulations as they pertain to grants and procurement;
- Demonstrable experience building capacity of local organizations or grantees; and
- Fluency in English and Arabic required (written and verbal).

- Experience managing grants for USAID in Jordan.
