Additional information on the compensation package is provided on the WTO website: The Secretariat of the WTO is seeking to fill a position of HR Analyst in the Human Resources Division. General Functions
1. Ensure that information relevant to fixed-term/regular and temporary positions recorded in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) are accurate and up-to-date. This includes maintaining an overview of all positions of the Organization.
2. Prepare and provide information in the form of reports, briefing notes, charts and/or presentation slides to HR and management based on analysis of information and data in HRIS as well as on benchmarking with other international organizations. Contribute to preparing the workforce statistics, forecasts and reports, as well as to responding to requests for information from Members.
3. Contribute to the development of HR metrics with a view to increase WTO's organisational effectiveness and efficiency, through proactive participation in projects.
4. Develop and maintain familiarity with all HRIS used in HRD, utilizing them as needed, evaluating their effectiveness and making recommendations for enhancements.
5. Advise line management on the information available to support the management of their teams.
6. Develop his/her skills and knowledge of HR management in general and quantitative methods in particular.
7. Assist in conducting human resource policy and program research and development projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Advanced university degree in a relevant subject, preferably with a scientific, quantitative or business focus.
- Relevant professional experience combined with a basic university degree may be considered in lieu of an advanced university degree.
- Professional qualification in HR management would be an advantage (e.g. CIPD, SHRM).
Knowledge and skills:
- Good knowledge of and skills in the use of HRIS/HRMS systems; familiarity with Oracle HRMS would be an advantage.
- Good analytical skills; familiarity with analysing quantitative information to measure performance.
- Familiarity with HR systems, for example, job evaluation, psychometrics or workforce planning.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a multicultural setting.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Work Experience:
At least two years' relevant work experience.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English, including an ability to write accurately, precisely and quickly, as well as good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish.
