We’re in the midst of another major transformation of the role of the developer. Just as agile methodologies redefined the relationship between testers and developers, the era of cloud services is ushering in a similar transformation between ops and developers. While developers are becoming more involved in the day to day operations of their running services, ops engineers are being asking to dig deeper and provide more insight into the services they manage. Our team is a team working in Developer Division tasked with capturing and helping shape this market shift.
In this position, you will:
• Be responsible for delivering diagnostic and monitoring scenarios.
• Learn a whole lot about the manageability and monitoring of applications in the cloud data centers.
• Have the opportunity to build a highly available and scalable service that runs on top of Windows Azure platform to monitor apps built on Azure inside and outside Azure.
• Use the product you build to simplify your own day to day development and monitoring tasks.
Apart from the technical qualifications listed below, we are looking for very strong, motivated, result-oriented and collaborative people who can be independent and get things done in a team setting.
Our team members offer:
- Expertise in HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery etc.
- Expertise in C#, .NET Framework
- - Strong debugging, coding, and analytical problem solving skills
- Strong background and knowledge of storage systems and distributed databases is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of building a secure service is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing paradigms is a plus
- Experience in building highly available, highly scalable, reliable, distributed systems is a plus
- Excellence in software engineering practices and coding
- Proven ability to plan, schedule and deliver quality software
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage concurrent initiatives
Basic Qualifications
3+ years HTML or Javascript or CSS
3+ years experience in C# and .NET framework
Web Services industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or mathematics, or engineering, or physics.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years industry experience
Experience in storage, distributed systems and databases.
Masters degree in Computer Science, or mathematics, or engineering, or physics.
Experience in WCF, SQL, REST and Web Services is a plus
Experience in Microsoft cloud technologies such as Windows Azure, Azure Fabric and SQL Azure is a plus
