DescriptionMicrosoft is a leader in the design of world class entertainment devices. We are looking for a strong silicon design engineer to work in the IEB HW team on exciting new products. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who will thrive in this dynamic, cutting-edge environment.

You will work closely with external vendors and internal teams to lead the physical design of a chip. It is important to have a broad understanding of all facets of a digital & mixed signal physical design flow. You will be required to work independently with a keen eye for attention to detail and provide crisp status of progress, issues, and risks on the program to the management team.

Requirements:
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience
- Proven track record of successful complex million+ gate ASIC/SoC designs 
- Experience integrating 3rd Party IP
- Deep knowledge in designing for low power
- Experience with EDA tools for Power estimation, Power Integrity Analysis & IR drop, Logic Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis, Floorplanning, Digital Place and Route, Mixed Signal Integration, DFT, and LVS/DRC.
- First-hand experience in physical design integration, backend signoff prior to tapeout, administering final checklists and jobviews, etc.
- Post silicon bring-up and debug skills are key - experience debugging issues in implemented logic, memory, phy’s and other macros, knowledge of FIB and other debug tools.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing program needs
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Occasional travel
