Pact in Myanmar operates its various projects in 51 townships. Pact in Myanmar is currently seeking a motivated, experienced and dedicated candidate for the position of Village Health Facilitator. Position Summary: ShaeThot is beginning urban activities in Salin township in Sagaing in the areas of Maternal Child Health, Livelihoods and WASH. Under the technical guidance and supervision of Township Manager, Village Health Facilitator is responsible to implement the project activities directly to achieve the project outputs/outcomes and through working in teams led by a Team Leader, to whom they are immediately responsible; as well as to follow the existing procedures and policies of Pact Myanmar for a proper administration of the project. Key Relationships: Supervised by: Township Manager (Salin); Team Leader 1. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Programmatic Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Workshops/trainings in assigned project communities to support the achievement of project outputs and outcomes.
  • Guiding of community organizations, peer educators and community health volunteers.
  • Capacity building of community health organizations, peer educators and community health volunteers in planning, organizational and financial management, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Organize trained volunteers meetings, and network within communities as well as with the local health services for better integration with existing MCH, livelihoods and WASH sectors as necessary;
  • Collecting baseline and follow-up information
  • Monitoring of community progress in achieving project outputs
  • Reporting the progress of workshops/activities

  • Participate in the drawing of work plan and accomplish to achieve the targets.
  • Other duties assign by Township Coordinator Expected Results Effective project intervention activities are delivered timely to community. Workshop/training outputs and outcomes are well monitored and recorded. Communities receive effective training/workshop for health and development. Timely submission program reports and maintenance of systematic filing system of assigned communities..
Financial Responsibilities
  • Maintain a transparent and sound cash management system for the operation as per current financial procedures of Pact and the program;

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in working closely with villages or grassroots communities
  • Work experience in rural activities is desirable.
  • Graduate or equivalent qualification;
  • People with good health condition and already residing in the project townships are preferred.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills when working with members of groups.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision
  • Able to walk or take public transport or motorbike 5 days every week to visit groups.
