Technical Assistant (4 posts) (3 for Dhaka & 1 for Matlab) with the Diagnostic Labs under the Laboratory Services (Advertisement #279/13)
icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Technical Assistant (4 posts) (3 for Dhaka & 1 for Matlab) with the Diagnostic Labs under the Laboratory Services. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 2 years, which is renewable depending on performance and availability of funds.
Duty station - Dhaka & Matlab
Salary - Annual Tk.177,790/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances with other admissible benefits.
Benefits/facilities – 14.8% retirement fund contribution by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,420/- per child per month, medical facilities for dependent spouse and children, group life insurance. Subsidized canteen, transport and daycare facilities subject to availability.
Job Profile
- Cleaning and washes: Clean and wash all lab wares following the SOP manual used in the lab; Dry all lab wares in the specific ovens; Maintain & regulate temperature in order to ensure cleaning and washing of lab supplies and equipments.
- Preparation of re-agents & primary specimens: Prepare different types of acid solutions used in the washing of laboratory wares using the specific detergent required for washing particular lab wares following SOP; Process primary specimen of laboratory tests in order to ensure uninterrupted to assistance to the technologists for further processing of the primary specimens.
- Organizing: Place all lab wares in specific places for easy retrival; Keep lab working places and adjacent areas clean and equipment surfaces including dryers, ovens, refrigerators, shelves etc in order to ensure quality of laboratory activities.
- Transportation of lab supplies: Take part in the activity for transportation of lab supplies, reagents and other items for place to place as required and helps the office manager in order to ensure smooth operation of laboratory activities.
Requirements:
Education and Relevant Experience :
- Minimum S. S. C pass;
- 1 year of experience in relevant activities in laboratory.
