Job Description
ICANN has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Administrative Assistant.
- The Senior Administrative Assistants primary role is to support the ICANN executive, as well as their direct reports as assigned. The Administrative Assistant ensures effective and efficient functioning of the department while maintaining confidentiality and commitments on the assignment.
- Conduct and coordinate administrative duties such calendar management, expense reports, travel coordination and vendor contract logistics
- Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations as requested, and recommend best design, layout and approach to meet each specific need.
- Coordinate the translation of documents and the postings to the ICANN website.
- Oversee document management and retention activities of department.
- Liaise and coordinate with staff and community to ensure tasks are carried out and delivered in a timely manner.
- Support staff in special projects
- May support multiple departments, based on the workload allocation
- Other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall goals

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Visio
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently
- Must be well organized detail oriented, self-directed
- Excellent English drafting ability and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Writing and editing skills, including document formatting and creation of tables, charts and process maps.
- Ability to solve complex issues
- College graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years related administrative experience.
- 3-5 years advanced MS Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Powerpoint experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills including fluency in English.
- Fluent written and spoken language skills in any of the other official United Nations languages are desirable, but not required.
- Strong organizational, project/time management and multitasking skills.
