Project Research Physician with the research group of Emerging Vaccines under the Centre for Vaccine Sciences (Advertisement #276/13)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable female candidates for the position ofProject Research Physician with the research group of Emerging Vaccines under the Centre for Vaccine Sciences. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 03 months, which may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station - Dhaka

Salary -Tk.33,570/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile

• Provide patient care which includes diagnosis and treatment of common infant illness;
• Enroll patients, provide them treatment and schedule their follow-up visits;
• Counsel the parents of the study participants and patients;
• Train and supervise the junior staff;
• Follow up the study patients after discharge;
• Maintain liaison between the lab and field staff;
• Provide daily report to the supervisor.

Requirements

• MBBS degree from a Medical College recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council with completion of one year internship training;
• 1 years of experience in patient care; Experience will be relaxed up to six (6) months for the candidates having experience in Gestational age assessment and cognitive function assessment of the children;
• Sound clinical knowledge and skills in patient examination, diagnosis and management are required;
• Ability to identify and solve problems related to data collection and management of the study;
• Ability to perform jobs in an adverse situation and under pressure;
• Should be able to work in a team;
• Must have residence in Mirpur, Dhaka;
• Computer knowledge on MS Office is required;
• Excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla are required.
