Job: Project Management Specialist

Description

Role Purpose:
  • To be responsible for all information and knowledge project management life cycle, including the planning and scheduling project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
Responsibilities/Activities:
  • Define (in details) requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Provide project management and monitoring
  • Report on mile stones achieved
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones of several projects related to IRIT business.
  • Identify resources required for specific roles
  • Negotiate with division managers for resources i.e. team members’ contribution
  • Mitigate risk involved in project management
  • Compose and present regular and ad hoc reports on IRTI projects development and progress.
  • Plan and implement information projects to ensure that they meet the needs of IRTI.
  • Provide report to IRTI top management for project status
  • Provide analysis on project implementations
  • Identified critical success factors in projects and communicate with relevant parties for collaborations
  • Lead the design, programming and configuration of new systems and databases.
  • Ensure accuracy of information presented
  • Apply best practices in running complex projects/programs from requirement analysis, evaluation, designing and implementation to production
  • Identify information systems that would improve the effectiveness of services provided to users.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
  • Lead the Projects Function Team.
Qualification and experience:
  • Master is in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited university.
  • Phd is an added advantage
  • A professional qualification in Information System Project Management is preferred such as PMP or PRINCE2 certification in project management.
  • 8+ years of experience with a Masters qualification
  • 5+ years of experience with PhD
  • Relevant experience in project management, planning and monitoring project deliverables
  • Experienced in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict situations in management.
  • Good knowledge of web application development
  • Professional in Information System Project Management
  • Expert in Project Initiation, Planning, Budgeting, Human Resources, Monitoring, execution and Closing.
  • Fluency in English. Arabic or French language is an added advantage.
