Position Description
The Program Coordinator, Financial Inclusion (FI), will work directly with, and report to, the Director, FI, with frequent interactions with the FI team and other Foundation staff. Successful candidates will demonstrate the Foundation's core values - achievement, innovation and collaboration. The Program Coordinator, FI, will support a range of activities across the Foundation including, but not limited to, the following:
Provide Programming Support to the FI Team
  • Undertake special projects as needed in the areas of program research, knowledge and learning
  • Provide support to meet the data needs of program staff within a variety of program areas, to enable more effective programming
  • Provide program management and/or portfolio support to the team as required
  • Other duties as required, including administrative support, to advance program activities
Contribute to the Implementation and Upkeep of the Knowledge Management/ Evaluation System
  • Lead document migration onto SharePoint
  • Maintain GIFTS data entry
  • Maintain organization of the shared network drives
  • Represent the FI team on all Knowledge Management related initiatives
Provide Administrative Support to the Director, Financial Inclusion
  • Manage calendar
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Facilitate other administrative processes as needed
  • Assist with Director's special projects
Provide Coordination Support for the Financial Inclusion Team
  • Support senior management and the FI team including contributions to meeting materials, project-related activities, partner relationship management and internal program and foundation-level coordination.
  • Facilitate internal communication within the FI team and across the Foundation
  • Provide administrative support to the FI team as needed
  • Coordinate logistics of project meetings and events including scheduling and hosting of external guests
  • Create, maintain and update the organization of files and records
  • Manage agenda and chair bi-weekly FI team meetings
  • Coordinate bi-weekly Program Team Meetings
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in relevant subject matter or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in an international position with exposure to emerging markets,
Sub- Saharan Africa preferred. - Preference will be given to an individual who has had exposure to Financial Inclusion and/or International Development and/or Financial Services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Keen interest in international development, financial inclusion, youth learning and/or philanthropic initiatives
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a sense of humor, exhibiting grace under pressure
  • Proactive and engaged with an ability to thrive in an environment of change
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong research, analysis and writing skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to effectively execute a range of job duties
  • Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Word and ExcelProgram Coordinator, Financial Inclusion
Location
This position is located in the Foundation's office in Toronto, Canada.
