Exchange Transport is truly a core piece of technology and critical to the success of Office 365. As time goes on, more workloads are being run on Transport, and we are running in many different environments, with higher and higher scale. This is driving more challenges for our team and we are growing the size of the team and team capability. We need a Principal Dev to join our team and take on some of these challenges independently in many cases and in collaboration or as a technical leader in others. 
We are looking for a Principal Developer that is technically strong, excited about new challenges, comfortable with ambiguities and willing to take on larger scope and ownership. You will be responsible to lead investigations and investments in complex areas; designing and delivering features end to end - including system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance aspects, from conception to delivery. We use multiple technologies and frameworks such as PowerShell, ASP.Net, WCF, .Net, C++ and C#. You will need to ramp up on new frameworks or build one where one is absent as per product or team needs. You will be handling sizeable scope and feature ownership by working very closely with program management and QA. The job also requires you to work cross group with partners and customers of your components in order to deliver scenarios with high quality to our end customers. Technically, there are many challenges in this work such as distributed computation, high-scale, high availability, geo-redundancy, and low-touch. You will be in very technical company, working among very strong developers lead by a DE. This position will provide continued growth opportunities for an ambitious Principal IC.
