To accelerate momentum of great apps, the Windows Business Group is building a new team focused on delivering a compelling commercial catalog of Windows 8 apps worldwide. We’ll work with the top enterprises and ISVs to convince them to build rich, immersive Windows 8 apps for their customers and employees. That means we’ll spend a lot of time with partners doing great demos, showing off Windows 8’s capabilities for businesses, and helping partners build, design and deploy great apps. We’ll also spend a lot of time making sure the rest of Microsoft - marketing, evangelists, and sales worldwide - can do the same.This is one of the most exciting areas for the company and we’re very excited to get started. Our team is a great fit for you if the list below describes you:
Creative self-starter - you’ll be in charge of creating/telling the story for creating apps with Windows 8 to for an entire industry vertical (Health Care, Retail, etc.), so your creativity in creating the story and your ability to drive this approach independently will help you be successful in this role.
Great communicator - the role is not so much a salesperson but an authentic advisor and advocate. You will evangelize the opportunity to build rich apps on Windows 8 and the great Microsoft resources, incentives, and partnerships to make it work. Your ability to communicate clearly and genuinely is a huge asset for this role.
Collaborative- you are the epicenter of the commercial app strategy, bringing together teams across Microsoft and the field to drive flawless execution
Passionate about technology and partners- you’ll be talking to partners and customers about what’s happening in the industry, so your passion in discussions about great app experiences will always help convince partners they are betting on the right technology for their success
Focused and Effective - you’ll work with the top talent at Microsoft and throughout the industry with the goal to deliver great Windows 8 apps to customers. Success is all about staying focused on the goal - delivering great Windows 8 apps - and making sure the apps reach the marketplace and are used by real customers. Your track record of being a great executor is probably the most important skill for the job.
Finally, an important part of this job is defining the success for an entire category of apps. You’ll be the owner of an entire category such as Health Care, Retail, etc. and there isn’t anyone else at Microsoft defining what success looks like for these categories. No previous industry-specific experience required; you just have to be able to dive in and learn the area.

Requirements
This role requires 5-7 years of industry experience in an engineering, product marketing or business development capacity or relevant experience. Preferably you’ll be very comfortable presenting in front of executive leadership, designers and developers alike. And, most importantly, the role demands a successful record delivering technology experiences to customers.
