Job: Budget Development Assistant

Description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidate for the position below at its Headquarters in Ibadan.
Duties:
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following:
  • Assist in preparing proposal budgets together with the proposal Development Coordinator and Scientist
  • Prepare, review, update and manage a database of station costs (staff administrative and operational costs) to be used in development of proposal budgets
  • Assist in preparing templates for budgets for various donors relevant to IITA
  • Coordinate and implement procedures for smooth-running and effective proposal budget development
  • Maintain an effective filling system and safe-keeping of confidential documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
B.Sc/HND in Agricultural Economics or related fields.
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a related role of a large organization is required.
The ideal candidate must possess:
Excellent computer skills with good grasp of spreadsheets, word processing and other MS office applications
  • Excellent English reporting, writing and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to co-ordinate, prioritise and organize workload; take initiative and work under pressure
  • Have a very good knowledge of cost related to agricultural fields and laboratory experiment
  • Good team spirit and also participate as a team member in accomplishment of duties
