Duties & Responsibilities The International Criminal Court is an eCourt that utilizes electronic systems for all its legal processes including investigations, hearings, analysis and disclosure. The Information and Communications Technologies Section provides technical support for these solutions within an environment highly focused on information security, information integrity and availability. The International Criminal Court (ICC) is currently housed in interim premises at three different, adjacent facilities at The Hague, Netherlands. The ICC expects to have moved to its new, permanent premises, also at The Hague, by the end of 2015. Under the direct supervision of the Service Desk supervisor and the general supervision of the Associate ICT Services Officer of the Information and Communication Technologies Section, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: - Provide 1st and 2nd level ICT technical support to all users of ICC computer systems and assure continuity of service. - Maintain Service Level Objectives and determine priority and impact of incidents and requests. - Support and maintain the ICC environment's information systems, applications, telephony services and Audio Visual services according to IT best practices. - Apply Standard Operational Procedures, such as, Incident, Change, Problem and Configuration Management to ensure that ICT Services are managed and operate according to industry best practices. - Maintain the ICC's configuration management and IT Service Management tool to ensure it is a current and precise representation of the operating environment.
Contribute to decommission and write off of ICT equipment Troubleshoot Applications and Microsoft Windows 7 Desktop environment. Production of Customer Support Materials. Any other duties as required.
Essential Qualifications Education: Completion of secondary education. Experience: At least 6 years of relevant work experience in the IT field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Sound knowledge of MS Office 2010 and Windows 7. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment. - Ability to interact positively and effectively with colleagues and business partners at all levels. - Proven ability to work effectively under pressure displaying sound initiative and good judgement. - Demonstrated verbal and written skills to include preparation of reports and user guides; give presentations clearly and concisely; and ability to deflect and diffuse requests not covered in the SLAs. - Demonstrated knowledge or certification in one or more of the following is considered an asset: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), ITIL, IPRO Level 3, ICT Systems Support, CISCO Call Manager, RSA, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Symantec Endpoint, Encryption, and familiarity with ticketing tools, or similar systems. - Knowledge, understanding and skill in installation, support and maintenance of hardware and applications. Language Requirements: Fluency in either of the working languages of the Court, English or French is essential. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) would be considered an asset.
