The Client Services Unit of the Human Resources Department seeks to appoint an HR Analyst to join the LAC Regional HR team. HR Account Managers are the Business Partners to their assigned client departments; the Human Resources Analyst will partner very closely with the HR Account Managers and the HR program assistants to provide HR services to staff and Managers. The Human Resources Analyst will also be a part of the HR Analytics team. He/She will provide analytical support and database management data accuracy, develop and maintain HR information and reporting systems, and support staff in matters concerning recruitment, performance management, training and career development.
The position is local and will be based in Bogota, Colombia.
Duties and Accountabilities
- In collaboration with the relevant Human Resources Account Manager(s) provide guidance to staff on career development, compensation and benefits related questions;
- Develop a strong understanding of the rationale underlying HR policies to guide clients in the interpretation of such policies & procedures;
- Partner with clients and the regional Mobility and Recruitment team to monitor recruitment and mobility process, using associated data to create a strategic view and ensuring flawless implementation of associated processes
- Work with managers to ensure proper on-boarding of new staff, working to refine the LAC Region on-boarding process
- Maintain and continually improve the existing HR information systems and coordinate with colleagues in the field and at HQ to compile information;
- Ability to quickly familiarize her/himself with core IFC HR systems to fulfill staff and manager requests for HR data and analysis
- Use core IFC HR systems to extract and prepare analysis that enables decision-making on resources and a focus on strategic staffing
- Use developed templates, tools and systems to manage HR processes, such as performance management, talent management, recruitment, on boarding etc., with client teams;
- Contribute to corporate HR deliverables and provide back-up for other HR analysts in the Client Services Team
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Behavioral Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or advanced degree in any of the above
- At least five years of professional experience working in a large public or private sector institution with demonstrated ability to enable management decision-making with high-quality analysis, engaging key stakeholders to guide analysis and resulting work programs
- Solid knowledge of core HR areas: compensation/benefits; learning and training; performance management, career development and staffing and recruitment;
- A positive attitude and proactive approach;
- Willingness to “roll-up sleeves” and flexibility to engage in all aspects of HR work, from identification of issues and design of policies and programs to implementation;
- Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials and presenting recommendations to senior leaders
- Knowledge of HR processes, including strategic staffing, performance management, organizational analytics, and strategy development, and related HR metrics
- Strong orientation towards quality control and superb attention to detail
- Pro-active approach to work and willingness to learn
- Eagerness to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Strong commitment to working within team structures and across formal boundaries
- Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts across departments and the World Bank Group
