The XBOX Live Custom Solutions Specialist is an incredible opportunity to drive and develop world-class advertising solutions on truly inspiring entertainment technology. Leveraging strong online advertising and media experience, creativity, and strategic vision, this position will drive advertising revenue by creating compelling value propositions and communication persuasive stories to the Microsoft Advertising sales force and customer.
Focusing on developing technology, we’re looking for a highly motivated and adaptable problem solver who is not afraid of big challenges. Well balanced communication and negotiation skills are essential as this role will be inspiring, motivating, and partnering with a seasoned and highly skilled team of industry professionals. As the liaison between Sales, Development, and partner Product Management teams, this position will deliver the entertainment experiences that drive our business for years to come.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Business Prospecting - partner closely with Channel Managers, field Sales teams and Clients, surfacing branding & partnership revenue opportunities and qualifying opportunities for XBOX Live Custom
• Solution Conception - participate in x-group product & planning discussions to understand existing/future capabilities and features, identifying & recommending unique integration points within XBOX for client funded solutions. Create shared vision and value benefits for business partners & clients, selling in ideas and generating supportive momentum. Facilitate program sell through across entire Microsoft Ecosystem by partnering with Ad Solutions to leverage off-platform opportunities to grow overall commitment value.
• Client Proposal Development - drive research, secure internal product/business group agreements, assemble media plan strategies to support development of Client proposals
• Deal Performance - monitor performance of all brand experiences, leading optimization strategies & recommendations, ensure contractual obligations are satisfied
• Business Management - partner with XBOX and Ad Sol business management teams to develop yield-enhancing selling strategies
• Internal Evangelism - Represent solutions, insights, and views of the XBOX Live Advertising team with critical-to-business stakeholders across XBOX and matrix sales and product teams such as Skype, Windows & MSN. Work with Ad Solutions partners to uplevel understanding of the XBOX platform to improve the quality of ideas and facilitate overall custom sell through.
• External Evangelism - Represent XBOX Live Advertising product and innovation capabilities to external partners, customers and industry influentials. Attend industry events as appropriate, developing & presenting demos as proof of concepts.
• Market Opportunity & Future Strategies - Transform how the business targets customers. Work with Sales management and various Business Groups/product teams to inform market opportunity needs, enabling potential future revenue streams
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years in sales, business development, product evangelism, and/or business management
• A minimum of 5 years online industry experience
• BA/BS degree in from an accredited college/university
• Client management, business and operational experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Demonstrated people leadership and change management skills
• Experience working with Product Management or Product Development in development environments
• Demonstrated success working in a distributed-team environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Detail oriented with ability to think “big picture”
• Understanding of key trends and levers that drive the business
• Clear and confident oral and written communication skills including presenting to executive-level contacts
• Represent the division and company with integrity and trustworthiness, while persuasively selling the benefits of online advertising and overcoming any objections
• Ability to travel up to 30% regionally and nationwide to attend client meetings, conferences, seminars, and industry events
