INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS ORNATIONALS OF ASEAN RESIDING IN INDONESIATO APPLY FOR THE POSITION OFTECHNICAL OFFICER CUSTOMSASEAN REGIONAL INTEGRATION SUPPORT from the European Union (ARISE)TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME
Background:
The ARISE Project is an EU financed Technical Assistance Programme to support ASEAN Economic Integration Process through the implementation of the ASEAN EconomicCommunity (AEC) blueprint for the realisation of the AEC. The purpose is to enhance thecapacities of the ASEAN member States in harmonising and implementing policies andregulations in the economic and trade sectors and implement them effectively drawing onEU experience, so as to contribute to the realisation of the AEC. The programme has alsothe specific objective to enhance the capacity of the ASEAN Secretariat to support ASEAN Member States in this endeavour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Provide technical and administrative support in the regional cooperation relatedcustoms matters;
2.Be responsible for technical, administrative and professional support to the ASEANbodies in the preparations and conduct of meetings;
3.Assist higher level officers for the implementation of activities of technicalassistance programme under ASEAN Dialogue Partners/Donors; and
4.Undertake substantive work of the Customs Unit of the Trade and Facilitation Division, particularly on customs matters as well as to perform protocol duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in economics, international trade, international business, or relatedfields from a reputable university
- A minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in technical role; work experienceon customs matters will be an added advantage;
- Demonstrated knowledge and technical skills in the relevant area and ability to acquirethem
- Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in workplanning
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor and review policies andprocedures;
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability foraccuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines;
- Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, includingexperience in cross-cultural environment and international settings;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships withstakeholders;
- Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices;
- Sound command of English, written and spoken.
Remuneration and Benefits: Successful candidate will be offered the post with a probation period of six months andmonthly salary commensurate with his/her personal qualifications starting from IDR5,000,000. There are other applicable benefits which include monthly transportationallowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation insurance, and an annualbonus of a month's basic salary. Upon completion of the probationary period, thecandidate will be confirmed on an initial contract of up to two-years, inclusive of the six-month probationary period.
