The Windows Phone Services (WPS) Store team provides services that support the creation and flow of Windows Phone applications from developers to the Windows Phone Store. Our goal is to provide a solid reliable web service that allows for a quick and consistent flow of applications from creation to downloading on a device. Our test strategy focuses on user scenarios and end-to-end experiences with a push towards Testing in Production methodologies.
This is not a traditional QA role. We’re looking for Software Developers who have a passion for writing, testing and breaking code. Our team is looking for an experienced high performing and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to complement our existing team and help to drive the development of our test processes. We are looking for individuals with experience testing web services from UI through to Performance testing. The successful candidate should have an innovative spirit and be able to apply their knowledge and best practices to propose, design and implement successful test strategies for his or her scenarios.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop test automation for areas of ownership, with focus on E2E scenarios.
• Develop, run and report on performance test passes for our services
• Develop and review Test Strategy plans, detailed test specification, [automated] test case design and development for assigned feature team scenarios.
• Accurately estimate test planning, test case development and testing execution task efforts.
• Participate in cross-team initiatives to introduce and develop innovation into our test processes
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of software development or testing experience.
• Strong database knowledge and experience
• Ability with Test Automation Frameworks (UI and Non-UI based)
• Experience in Performance testing multi-tier web applications
• A minimum of 5 years of experience coding in C, C++, or C#.
• A test aptitude and methodology with a strong customer focus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
