Job Description
IBTCI requires a Crowd Sourcing Analyst to support a large M&E program in Afghanistan. The position will be US-based, with some travel to Afghanistan possible. The Crowd Sourcing Analyst will cultivate scalable crowdsourcing workflows for a large long-term data project, and will be creating and implementing its own quality-control and best-practice techniques for results analyses for a USG client.
Required Qualifications:
Crowd Sourcing Analyst should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Geographic Information Systems, Computing Research, Computer Science, or a related technical field of study.
- At least three years' proven experience in the design, implementation and/or assessment of humanitarian crisis mapping/GIS, crowd sourcing, or related projects.
- Experience in handling large multi-dimensional data sets with proven proficiency in Excel and analysis and visualization packages.
- Experience in creating blogs using HTML and CSS.
- Experience in assessments, crisis mapping and/or monitoring and evaluation in fragile environments.
- Fluency in English and have excellent writing and presentation skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the U.S. Government, specifically the US Dept. of State or USAID.
- Professional field experience in Asia, especially Afghanistan-Pakistan region.
