Are you passionate about developer tools? If this describes you, there is a unique opportunity to join the Central Region Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) team as a Developer Tools Solution Sales Professional (SSP) for the Enterprise segment (EPG) in the South Central District.
About this Position:
The DPE team’s overall mission is to secure platform adoption and revenue growth through evangelism, community engagement, intelligent audience marketing and a vibrant solutions ecosystem. Developer Tools and Technologies are the cornerstone of Microsoft’s .NET strategy. Through evangelism, marketing, and sales, DPE helps secure the Microsoft platform, now and in the future. As a key part of the DPE organization, the Developer Tools SSP’s primary responsibility will be increasing the sales and successful adoption of our application lifecycle product suite including Visual Studio 2012, Team Foundation Server, Test Professional, TEE and MSDN. In addition to direct sales engagements with customers, the Developer Tools SSP drives cross group collaboration with a number of Partners and internal resources including members of DPE, EPG, and various National and Corporate resources.
We are looking for a sales and technology leader who understands competition and market trends and provide a guidance roadmap to the developer community on our .NET strategy, our testing products and our overall ALM Solutions. You need to be seasoned presenter of sales and technical material and have the ability to drive enthusiasm around developer tools and our platform. A solid understanding of the developer tools market, including competitive tools and strategies is strongly preferred.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you must have 5+ years’ experience in solution sales calling on and developing relationships with senior-level business and technical decision makers in large accounts; strong practical knowledge of .NET and competing technologies; strong strategic partner relationship building skills; exceptional creative, analytic, communication, presentation and teaming skills; and strong business process orientation and solution experience. Key qualifications include:
Passion for selling developer tools and technologies
Demonstrated ability to leverage strategic solution selling approach to solve customer‘s business challenges
Demonstrated experience in successfully overachieving revenue expectations
Proven experience working as an overlay resources in a collaborative team environment
Self-starter with ability to think and act independently and do what’s appropriate to meet the customers’ expectations
Experience selling with a partner channel and knowledge of effectively leveraging partners to advance sales cycles and achieve greater customer scale
Understanding of Microsoft .NET Framework and related Microsoft developer tool offerings
A BA/BS in Business / Information Technology or related field (MBA preferred but not required)
This position is located in the Southwest District of the United States and can be based in any major location within the District geography. Travel (25%+) is required to support customers in the area and fulfill the role requirements.
