For more information, visit www.ifc.org.IFC is recruiting a Program Assistant for its Russia Bank Opportunity Fund (RBOF) team and for its Moscow-based Financial Markets (FM) team. RBOF is a private equity fund managed by IFC's Asset Management Company (AMC). RBOF has a small team which is likely to increase to 3-4 professionals in the next year. The FM team has approximately 15 professionals, but is supported by two and a half other Program Assistants. Thus we expect the individual in this position to spend approximately half of their time with the RBOF team and half with the Financial Markets team.
Duties and Accountabilities
  • Work with a high level of discretion in providing overall administrative support to the RBOF and FM teams (including scheduling appointments, arranging video and teleconferences, coordinating business travels, correspondence, monitoring activities to ensure appropriate follow up, document preparation for visits/events, etc.)
  • Liaise with an extensive network of contacts at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Support the RBOF communications with their Washington-based operational centres (AMC), noting 8-9 hour time difference.
  • Coordinate visits by clients and government officials.
  • Provide logistical support and coordinate meetings and official functions, including luncheons and receptions (arranging venues, communicating with participants, arranging catering etc.)
  • Ensure that correspondence and relevant background materials for internal and external requirements are produced to meet tight deadlines, are of high quality and adhere to administrative and operational guidelines.
  • Independently respond to inquiries.
  • Ensure rigorous control and filing of records and easy accessibility of information.
Selection Criteria
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international company or organization.
  • Bachelor or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to interact internally and externally and deal effectively with good judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment, and function as an effective team member in various groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Russian to ensure quality of written outputs.
  • High level competence in use of MS Office.
  • Previous exposure to financial services industry would be advantageous
