Number of volunteers: 2
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Equator Initiative is a partnership that helps recognize and advance local sustainable development solutions. The Equator Initiative accomplishes this through three action areas: the Equator Prize, awarded biennially; the Equator Dialogues, which are an ongoing series of community-driven meetings and exchanges, held in conjunction with related international forums, and Equator Knowledge, which is a research, documentation and learning program. The case studies are part of Equator Knowledge.
OBJECTIVE
The Equator Initiative works with partners to identify, document, and analyze the success factors of local best practice, and to catalyze ongoing peer-to-peer learning, knowledge exchange and replication of best practice.
To continue this work, and further disseminate the best practices of Equator Prize winners we have created our case study data base. Since most case studies are currently only in English, we are hoping to get all of them translated into the communities' local language(s).
