Digital channels are key to connecting with our supporters, publicizing our campaigning work and encouraging people to take action. In this post within our Digital Communications Programme, you’ll support the Digital Manager as we develop our digital properties and complete the International Secretariat’s transition to a devolved publishing model.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of our Digital Communications Programme, you’ll provide specialised administrative support for the Digital Manager. You will deliver training and support to content owners (under a devolved content framework) for amnesty.org and its sub-sites; assist in changing and migrating content during the redevelopment of amnesty.org; facilitate the upload of content for key digital projects; and support the Digital Manager in the development of guidelines, manuals and standards content production and management.

ABOUT YOU
You’ll have a background in assisting in the management of websites, in an editorial and technical capacity. That will include experience of working with a variety of content types (text and multimedia). You would have ideally worked in a support role within a devolved publishing structure, or have delivered digital training and support to colleagues. Furthermore, you have an understanding the importance of rigorous and practical standards for content production and management, and have contributed to the development of policies, guidelines and training documents. You’ll have a good knowledge of HTML and experience administering websites, ideally Drupal and Wordpress. This role involves supporting a number of teams across the organization, so strong communication skills are a must, as is the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Any language skills, particularly French, Spanish or Arabic, would be a distinct advantage.

ABOUT US
Our aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, freedom and truth wherever they’re denied. Already our network of over three million members and supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations or online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
