ICANN has an exciting new opportunity for a
  • Contractual Compliance Risk and Audit Manager. The Contractual Compliance Manager's key responsibilities are to manage a program, process complaints and conduct contractual compliance activities. This may include reviews, investigations and enforcement to ensure that contracted parties, are in compliance with their agreement and consensus policies. This role may take on special projects in support of compliance initiatives.
Common Key Responsibilities
  • Manage compliance programs that support ICANN's contractual compliance functions, initiatives and improvements.
  • Demonstrate thorough comprehension of current or proposed assigned subject.
  • Research, analyze and recommend activities that improve or correct contractual compliance performance.
  • This can be accomplished via processes, system changes, training or external & internal action plans.
  • Provide communications to external parties and within ICANN such as compliance status, strategies, changes, notices or action plans.
  • May lead and coordinate with external parties conducting contractual compliance related investigations or enforcement activities.
  • Assess initiatives, identify business requirements, test or implement solution to ensure team's readiness for changes.
  • Review, analyze and process complaints in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Collaborate in various ICANN working groups and discussions representing contractual compliance.
  • Inform executive management on program readiness
  • Mentor and give guidance to staff.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall goals
Audit Specific
  • Develop, implement and manage contractual compliance audit strategies, plans, programs and reports.
  • Review audit reports or deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Manage vendor(s) contract and deliverables to support the audit program.
  • Collaborate with contracted parties to remediate deficiencies.
  • Involved in the various sourcing activities; building, issuance, reviews of the request for proposal and vendor selection.

Required Skills
  • Technical understanding of the Internet and the Domain Name System preferred
  • Preferred ability to read, write and converse in at least one language other than English at a level sufficient to conduct job-related business transactions preferred
  • Proven ability to compose clear reports, summaries and other written communication
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to solve and manage multiple complex issues or projects
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-directed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficiency in data analysis methodology preferred
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required (accounting, business, computer science, economics) or JD/MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • CPA, CIA, CFE or other audit certifications preferred.
  • Preferred 10 years contract management and compliance related experience
  • Preferred 5-7 years of audit experience, internal or external [for audit specific]
