lvlain Responsibilities / Drties

Under the direct supervision of the Primary Health Care Coordinator, and overall supervision of Medical Coordinator and Pro gramme Coordinator, the Medical Ofiicer will be responsible for the following activities:

l. To provide curative and preventive health care to the IDPs and other beneficiaries coming to the clinic, in agreement with MOH guidelines and Malteser guidelines

2. To supervise the quality care provided by the nurses and midwives

3. To do timely referral according to the SOP (area-sensitive) and the referral protocol4. To supervise the drug dispensers for the right dispensing clear explanation to the patients, proper storage of

the drugs and properrecording ofthe consumption.

To supervise the crowd controllers and registrars for proper triageEnsure the smooth flow of patients in the clinicMonitor and collect all relevant data and also supervise data collection by other staffand do timely reporting Ensure the proper care and management of pharmaceutical stocks in doctors' assigned clinic: submit timely

Weekly or monthly requests, ensure proper handling and storage, recording, calculation of remaining balance, submit timely drug consumption report, return any expiring or expired drugs;

To supervise medical waste management done by the rnrrses, midwives, logistics and cleaners

To supervise the health education supervisors in their work with the community health volunteers in conduct- ing awareness sessions on health & hygiene and malaria, in building community based surveillance system

Essential Qualifi cationJSkills

. M.B., B.S. degree, preferably y/ith at least two year of experience in supervision of management in INGO;

• Abitity to work independently in remote area;

r Ability to live and work with minimum available basic facilitiesr Ability to work in a multiethnic setting;r Excellent supervision skills;

• Good reporting skills;

r Good communication skills and personality;r Fluent in Myanmar. Intermediate English. Knowledge of local language is an asset
