Salary: £27,540 per annum

Requirements: Islamic Relief Worldwide are recruiting an Editorial Co-Ordinator who will write and edit content for the web, print and other media to raise awareness of emergency relief and development issues and positively promote Islamic Relief Worldwide responses. The post is to support the co-ordination and implementation of the IR's family communications strategy and work streams, providing the material and support to our Partner Offices and ensuring standards are met to deliver the strategic objectives. The position will aim to strengthen the media and communications systems and practice across the IR family and include supporting the Communications Team in the field and especially during emergency/disaster periods. There will be a requirement to travel internationally to 'challenging locations' at short notice and on a regular basis for media and communications purposes. The job holder will need to have established knowledge of the media sector and strong journalistic skills, essentially the ability to research and write clear and creative content quickly in a pressurised environment, through a variety of channels which will include the press, print and web.
