ICANN has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst.
  • The Senior Financial Analyst will develop/maintain financial planning models and provide business analysis to senior management so timely decisions can be made. They will develop analytical tools/processes for financial dashboards and work cross-functionally on various initiatives to maximize efficient reporting while controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the monthly financial forecast process by running and maintaining a forecast model
  • Work alongside the accounting department as part of the monthly close process
  • Develop and publish operating dashboards (balanced scorecard)
  • Provide commentary and visibility into financial performance and key business drivers
  • Forecast key performance indicators using historical and statistical methods
  • Report consolidated financial statements to management team
  • Assist in preparation of business review presentations and the annual budget
  • Assist in the Finance team with ad-hoc reporting needs
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and explanations each month for actuals vs. budget and actuals vs. forecast, identify, analyze and correct information as needed in order to present accurate information (coding, budget classifications, accrual, or other issues)
  • Perform specialized financial and cost analysis (e.g., cash-flow analysis, “what-if†analysis); and prepare related reports (e.g., pro-forma financial statements)
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with others
  • Experience with the implementation /administration of budgeting software
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
  • Good organizational skills and able to handle a high work volume
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to follow ICANN policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.
Required Experience
  • Finance, Accounting or Analysis experience of a minimum of 5 years
  • Function Management experience preferably with a publicly traded company
  • Minimum B.S. degree with major in finance or accounting
