The Microsoft Dynamics Consulting Practice is looking for a Senior Consultant with Enterprise ERP experience preferably in Retail Vertical, who has a mix of hands on experience on business applications implementation, architectural design and strategic business acumen. The role requires both broad and deep retail industry knowledge and implementation expereince across channels, with expertise in the areas of Merchandising, Planning, Replinshmnet, Store Operations & ecommerce. Knowledge of Retail Best Practices and industry terms is an absolute must for this position. He/She should have the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end business application solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and business processes is also a must. This position will be a key enabler for other consultants and partner staff and will oversee delivery of the largest, most complex, and most strategic projects for retail enterprise customers. The Senior Consultant will have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
The Senior Consultant applies advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of business process design to define appropriate customer solutions. He or she must have current and deep experience with Retail implementation of large ERP products, such as Microsoft’s Dynamics AX and/or competitive Tier 1 ERP solutions such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or JD Edward. Understanding competitive solutions enables this position to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on, non-Microsoft solutions. Previous consulting experience ideally with a tier 1 / "big-4" consulting organization would be a definitive plus.
The senior consultant also helps Microsoft management identify, pursue and close the most strategic Microsoft and partner business development opportunities. To accomplish this, the successful candidate must be effective in fostering executive level relationships.
Senior Consultants routinely act as subject matter experts assisting service line management in definition and development of service and/or solution offerings. They maintain relevant product group relationships and facilitate technical readiness around all products / go-to-markets for the practice by mentoring consultants and partner staff and sharing best practices. The Senior Consultant is able to deliver and articulate effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes.
The Senior Consultant must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Business/MIS or equivalent work experience. Higher relevant education preferred. Position requires at least 10 years relevant working experience including expertise in enterprise architecture as well as business solutions deployment. Qualifications include hands-on experience in several of the following: Financial, Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Costing, HR/Payroll, Enterprise Application Integration, Enterprise Application Architecture & Retail Industry Vertical functions. Travel (up to 100%) is an integral part of this job. The candidate must live close to (within 50 miles) of any Major city/Airport.
