Position Description:
Advertising Operations (AdOps) is expanding our team for the global operational execution and support of Microsoft’s Online Advertising business. We are hiring a Build/Deploy Program Manager (BDPM) who is accountable for the delivery, alignment, and integrity of our advertisers’ order-to-cash (O2C) experience models and technology platforms for Microsoft’s online advertising businesses including:
• Release management and Business Acceptance Testing
• New or evolving operations strategies, models, and capabilities
• Account, Commerce , and fulfillment end-to-end design
• Fold-downs/ close-downs / divestments; multiple releases / iterations
• Technology partnerships, both internal and external
• Platform change management and development lifecycles
• Ad-hoc and planned automation or semi-automation
The ideal candidate is someone who (has):
• Has a passion for the customer and creating breakthrough account and commerce capabilities in an online, self-serve environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several concurrent, large projects involving multiple stakeholders executing in a matrixed environment
• Helps make sure that activities are completed even when they lie outside of immediate area of responsibility
• Tracks agreements and discussions to ensure follow-through
• Adjusts manner/style to fit situations and expectations
• Recognizes key issues or information that others have overlooked
• Raises critical issues with client/customer or senior management in ways that facilitate their resolution
• Experienced and effective in work as part of a distributed multi-region team and in a virtual environment
• Experience as a project management professional (defining and executing large, high impact projects)
• Ability to adjust priorities, decisions, and actions to respond to multiple demands, unanticipated events, and new information in order to meet necessary timelines
• Ability to drive business objectives with stakeholder while not having direct authority (impact for influence)
• Outstanding attention to detail combined with an ability to see the big picture
• Great decision making and planning skills
• Both the passion and the ability to achieve exceptional results, tackle ambiguity, and match a fast-pace of delivery with minimal supervision
• Experience in product development, service design, process improvement, or integrations, in an advertising, publishing or technology company
• Implementation experience with SAP or similar enterprise-grade systems desirable
• Systems implementation experience required; end-to-end management preferred
• Self-driven, highly-motivated, and innovative
• Exceptional ability to influence without direct authority
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills within all levels of the organization, including General Manager and above
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Exceptional virtual or remote teaming skills: facilitation, leadership, administration

• Successfully uses roadmaps to drive thinking, x-org commitment, and broad execution
Responsibilities:
• Drive capabilities design by ensuring requirements are gathered, documented, prioritized and communicated within defined timelines
• Ensure analysis, options and recommendations are presented to senior management and make sure decisions are communicated out to appropriate stakeholders:
• Lead the planning and implementation of projects including:
- Facilitation of project scope, goals and deliverable
- Definition of project tasks and resource requirements
- Development of full scale project plans and timelines
- Coordination of project staff
- Management of project budget and resource allocation
- Tracking of project deliverables and reporting out on progress to all stakeholders
- Implementation and management of project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Project evaluations and assessment of results
• Facilitate and drive discussions with project team members to ensure AdOps has the capabilities to transact efficiently and can scale globally
• Drive release management and testing cycle across multiple teams to ensure on-time launch readiness and a quality customer experience, as designed
• Ensure resource requirements of supporting any processes, especially manual processes, are made clear, that the Global Program Manager has secured funding to put those resources in place and there is a plan in place to automate the process in the future.
• Work across multiple operations teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements in order to build consensus
• Influence CPE needs and drivers with stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced and complex Operations environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA is a plus
• Experience working in Advertising Operations, and frequent communication with engineering and operations teams
