Background / General description:
The President's Delivery Unit works across the institution to monitor and ensure progress on key priorities. The Program Analyst will have the opportunity to support this work and the work of the entire World Bank Group in an effort to produce better outcomes, create a more collaborative World Bank culture, and ensure that the World Bank resources are aligned to global priorities. The Program Analyst will help to create high level visibility into progress the World Bank Group is making toward their goals by mapping data assets, identifying best practices, preparing delivery plans, and creating the framework for measuring progress. Analysts will also help to establish the systems to measure progress toward goals, conduct rapid reviews and delivery chain analysis, and cement the science of delivery into the management structure of the World Bank Group.
Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Assists in negotiating and establishing business performance metrics, formulae, and thresholds at various levels of the organization
  • Assists in assimilating industry benchmarks or other external data against which to gauge performance
  • Identifying performance-based responses and participate in problem solving
  • Supporting the prioritization and budgeting of enterprise and line-of-business strategic performance initiatives
  • Reporting strategic performance initiative progress and results (returns) to the executive team
  • Implementing the components needed to collect, assimilate, analyze, and deliver performance management data
  • Actively participate in meetings and discussion with senior leadership, government authorities, development partners and other stakeholders

  • Business Processes & Systems - Has a basic understanding of business processes and systems to review and analyze business processes and systems, recommend improvements, enhance internal controls, and assist with implementation.

  • Data Management - Has a basic understanding of how data is stored, maintained (consistent with best practices) and shared in large organizations.

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
