Department
To maintain all buildings and equipment throughout the hotel. Under direction of the Assistant Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer and/or the Director of Engineering, perform general repair and maintenance of any and all areas and equipment found in and around the hotel. Specific work areas will be assigned as needed to each employee, based on skill level and experience.

Description
-Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks is required.  
-Ensure that all safety systems are operable.
-Respond to guest requests as required.
-Adhere to hotel safety standards.
-Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the Engineering Management staff.
-Assist other departmental craft workers as required.
-Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team.
-Participate in OSHA Safety programs within the hotel through awareness in every day job functions and participate on the Hotels Emergency Evacuation Team.

Requirements
-Experience -Some experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing is preferred.
-Painting, taping, mudding, drywall, wallpaper and wall vinyl skills required.
-Able to make electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs. 
-Must have flexible availability to work all shifts including overnight, weekends and holidays.  
-Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and have the ability to communicate with hotel guest.
-Must be able to work well with all members of the Engineering Department and other members of the Hotel Staff.  
-Highly motivated self-starter
-Most work tasks are performed indoors.  Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more.
-Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. 
-Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Licenses or Certificates -Ability to obtain and/or maintain any required licenses, certificates or permits.
