lan International-Philippine Brnach Office has 12-month USAID/Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) grant-funded project in Davao Oriental. The Increasing Community Disaster Preparedness in Davao Oriental, Philippines project aims to increase the disaster preparedness and response capability of vulnerable communities in the heavily-affected Davao Oriental coastal municipalities of Baganga, Cateel, and Boston.
The incumbent provides technical and project management support to the program area’s disaster risk reduction (DRR) including climate risk management program/projects/activities, including systems of quality control, monitoring and evaluation, and integration with other programs. He/she capacitates staff and partners.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Social Science or any related course is a must.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in development work in a technical capacity is required.
• Proven excellent analytical, problem solving and strategic planning skills and strong background in project design, planning, proposal writing and project reporting.
• Strong practical field experience in the application of Sphere, HAP, INEE, NGO/Red Cross Code of Conduct and other relevant standards required.
• Highly skilled in leading others, communicating and influencing others, innovative, flexible, and technical savvy are preferred.
• Experience working with INGO an advantage
